To further guide government offices in the formulation of their Public Service Continuity Plans (PSCP), the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council through the Office of Civil Defense and Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation Inc. (PDRF) launched the Public Service Continuity Planning Guidebook today, September 30.

"As tomorrow’s leaders, the youth of today must be given adequate guidance and support so that their potential can be strengthened, focused, and realized as a key contributor in the national effort to build resilience." This was the message of Civil Defense Administrator Undersecretary Ricardo Jalad to the participants of “Youth as Agents of Change: A Call to Action” webinar held on September 23.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and the Office of Civil Defense express gratitude to stakeholders and the public for supporting the “first ever online Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)” and its related activities.

With the recent development in the House of Representatives during the budget deliberations where a group of party-list representatives had attempted to block the budget requested by the NATIONAL TASK FORCE TO END LOCAL COMMUNIST ARMED CONFLICT (NTF ELCAC) and even harassed the task force’s spokesperson, we wish to inform everyone that to effectively address the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) problem, the government has entered into a massive campaign to spur the development of the rural countryside so that barangays impoverished by the malignant presence of the CTG can also experience the sustainable growth being enjoyed by communities who were able to expel them.
