NDRRMC Prepares for STS “LIWAYWAY” and Advises the Public on Possible Floods and Landslides

Severe Tropical Storm (STS) “LIWAYWAY” is likely to directly or indirectly cause floods and landslides in the country. Based on rainfall forecast, 145 Barangays were identified with high to very high susceptibility to rain-induced landslides and flooding. These identified barangays in Regions II, X, XII, and CARAGA are advised to monitor updates from their local DRRM offices and watch for signs of possible landslides. Other areas affected by continuous rainfall are recommended to check for signs of landslides and flooding.
